Children at Westfort Baptist Church

We believe it is important for children to participate in Sunday morning worship with their family and the local church. We want them to know they are a valued part of the church family. We also want to set an example for them in worship.

Junior Church

During the sermon, children aged 4-10 are welcome to get up and move around, have a snack, make a craft and hear a Bible lesson with their friends, downstairs in Junior Church.

Nursery

Our nursery welcomes babies and toddlers up to age 3. Our Nursery workers are happy to play, sing and pray with your little ones. And if you need to take a break with your baby, you're welcome in the nursery too.

Westfort Baptist Church Bible Camp

For one fun filled week in August, Westfort runs a Bible Camp for our children and their friends. It takes place at Camp Aurora on Warkinka Lake. Campers arrive on Monday morning spend five days and four nights and are picked up on Friday afternoon. Activities include team games, tuck shop, Bible lessons in the morning and a Missionary story in the evening, campfires, swimming, canoeing, crafts and all the fun camp activities you'd expect.

Protection & Prevention

The safety of the children we minister to is extremely important to us. Each one of our Junior Church teachers and assistants, our Nursery workers and the people who run Kids Club are required to provide a Police Services Check, and complete Plan to Protect a vulnerable sector abuse prevention and protection program.
